The Story

A table is where a house decides what kind of family it wants to be. We carved this one for the long evening — for the conversations that begin with food and go past it. The Calacatta was quarried as a single block in Carrara, sawn into two halves, and laid book-matched across a brass cradle so the veining splits and meets again, like a sentence that pauses for breath. Sized for ten because the homes we build for understand that a guest is rarely just one.
