Ankur
The legend
Ankur — “the sprout”.
Ankur — the first green shoot — pairs the two ends of time: a wide, low bowl of ancient quartzite cradling whatever has just begun to grow.
The striations radiate from the centre like ripples; the bowl is hollowed from one block with concealed drainage.
Every Ankur is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: Ø 70 × 25 cm, in a honed finish.
Stone is the oldest thing in the house; it should hold the newest.
