Dhruva

The legend

Dhruva — “the pole star”.

The boy who became the pole star is the oldest Indian story about steadfastness. Dhruva is a fluted column of Dholpur sandstone — the temple colonnade distilled to a single shaft — with a basin honed into its capital.

The flutes carry water-light down the column every time the tap runs, a small daily architecture.

Every Dhruva is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: Ø 45 × 90 cm, in a hand-honed finish.

Dhruva, the unmoving star — every temple column aims at it.
