Jaalika — Jodhpur Red Sandstone

Jaalika

The legend

Jaalika — “the little net”.

The jharokhas of Rajasthan — Hawa Mahal above all — turned stone into lace so royal women could see without being seen. Jaalika is that royal device, freestanding: a pierced star-and-hexagon screen in Jodhpur red sandstone.

Light passes through and lays the lattice across your floor — the room wears the screen’s shadow like a printed silk.

Every Jaalika is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 220 × 100 × 6 cm, in a hand-finished finish.

A queen could watch the whole city through a jaali and never be seen.
