The legend
Sarovar — “the sacred lake”.
The great temple tanks — Amritsar’s above all — were built so still water could hold heaven steady. Sarovar hollows that ambition from a single block of Indian Statuario: an oval pool with walls ten centimetres thick.
Months of carving, several tonnes of stone, one bath. We review your slab, manage the weight and install it to the millimetre.
Every Sarovar is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 180 × 85 × 55 cm, in a honed, polished rim finish.
Kings built sarovars so the sky would have somewhere to rest.
