Toran — “the gateway”.
The toranas of Sanchi have stood for two thousand years; the dynasty that built them lasted a fraction of that. Toran is the gateway reduced to its essence — a pure marble arch with a single carved lotus band tracing the curve.
It frames a garden path, a pool, a threshold — anywhere a passage deserves ceremony.
Every Toran is carved to order in our New Delhi atelier — the block chosen with you, the proportions tuned to your space, the surface finished by hand. Reference size: 260 cm arch, in a hand-honed finish.
At Sanchi, the gateways outlived the empire that raised them.
